Can you tell me the name or drop a link to that FB Group so I can join it? Getting all this AA Model Infos right is pretty tedious.

BTW, I installed some of the free Aqua Plugins and played around with them. What turned me on was the sound, but what I find really confusing is, that it takes like a second to hear any changes to the sound if you change a parameter.

 

Depending on which parameter you are changing, the delayed response could be due to the engine switching to another preset. After all, they are front ends for Nebula presets. But you are not alone with this phenomena. I've been working with eq'ing blindly (stop playback, select and make a frequency adjustment, start playback) so it's not really affecting me there. I really notice it on the compressors adjusting things like Ratio, Attack, and Release. I assume they use different samplings for each of those parameters.

Won't it be cool if you can add the specific name of the plugin by the different companies? :D

NEXT LIST: MAGIC PLUGIN CHAINS!

The group is called "Acustica Audiophiles". The sound is really great and Acustica Audio is growing bigger and more popular everyday. The delay in some of the free plugins is not for all plugins. You should download some demos as they really show what these plugins can do. The procedure though is a bit more complicated than demoing the average plugin. First you need to have an account. Then you have to make a "purchase" of the demo plugin for 0 Euros, you don't have to give them any bank account or credit card information, it's just the way this is handled. And then you get the download link for the demo in your account dashboard.
For the demo authorization it's best to download Acquarius Lite. This is the moest convenient and fastest way to activate your demos.

 

Thanks for the info. I've had a free account for a few years now and installed the free plugins. There download area is really user unfriendly and overly complicated. It forwards you to a box cloud server where you have to enter a password and sometimes the login fails. Not a fan of that. The plugins sound great but they use too much CPU for my taste currently.

 

Yeah, with my AMD Phenom setup and using Nebula, and now Aqua, I've had to freeze and bounce whenever possible.

Acqua Plugin List is now available as a Google Spreadsheet as well

I will probably convert the other lists to spreadsheets as well. Because a) it's easier to manage and edit/rearrange stuff, b) it's better suited for big screens. So I can add more colums if I need to and c) you can view it in your browsers and add them to you google drive if you want to.

 

Talking about analog modeled plugins: the new Logic 10.4 update has a "Vintage EQ Collection" which includes a Pultec EQ (both Low and Mid EQ), an API 560 and a NEVE 1073 all with an Amp Section with 3 interchangeable Amp Models. Not Bad for a free update.
