    Hi!
Don't take it as a joke:) I have a serious question here.
I'm not an English native speaker, and I'd like to ask you:

    1) What vowels are often sung in English language songs during vocalizations ? (especially in pop songs)
    2) What vowels do people usually sing when they are spontaneously singing together e.g. at a party/ in a pub / football stadium etc?

    I mean is it e.g.
    "uuuu ooo oo"

    "iiiii yeah" or what?

    (I'm really serious;)

    Cheers:)

Triple, hi. Depending on where you are from, say Holland, as would equally apply for France and Scandinavia, you would probably write English "Oooo" phonetically as "Uuuu". "Oooo" was a signature backing vocal element for The Beatles: "She Loves You" is a good example. They were however regarded as a bunch of puffs by some, for using it so often.

I doubt that you would hear a lot of "Oooo" in football arenas. At home it shouldn't hurt. But to wrap it up I don't think there is a quick answer to your question and I suggest you borrow a pile of 45's (single-play records) and a gramophone from an uncle, someone my age anyway and just browse.

Although English is most commonly heard in pop music, writing or singing it does not equal "sounding" English. There's a bit more to that but commercially speaking of course it is a big advantage over singing in German (for instance).

If you 4get the sound of sounds, just remember, AEIOU (or aiueo)

ENglish is really bad at being consistent with vowel sound/spellings. Asian/Pacific is pretty consistent.
