Thought I saw this pop up on the sister site a day or two ago but doesn't seem to be there now. Did I imagine it, or did it just get pulled?

 

Think that was the OSX version, wasn't by R2R if memory serves. I thiink the (Win) symlink installer version (also not R2R =) is still on the sister site, tho?

 

Well one was by digitalmachine for osx the authenticity claimed by the Horsemen, still dunno if it is flawless

@Bunford, you didn't imagine it. It was definitely there, but I cannot remember the group. I remember thinking that the Win release was flakey and now they've fully cracked it for Mac, Hmm.

 

Yeah, that's why I am confused. One popped up, which was a SymLink Installer non-R2R version. I tried it and the Native Access thing isn;t patched on it so you can't add new libraries and it also popped up with a message about needing to install libraries if you tried to open an instrument you had already registered but with your own .nicnt. I since reverted back to 5.6.6. Then, I would swear on it, I had a quick look on the sister site on my phone whilst out and about and saw another release pop up (and I thought it was R2R; maybe not though, can't remember), which I though mentioned the Native Access issue had been resolved. I didn't download and install it because I was out and about and because live in Cardiff and been preoccupied with visitors in recent days as they are down here for the Champions League footy final tonight. I thought to myself "I'll grab that in a couple of days when I get a chance". I had a chance today and went looking and it seems to have disappeared, which is why I'm confused.

Damn, you're right! It was Mac-only, though, and it should be on pg. 5 (as of this writing), listed right before or after the latest version of Maschine (also OS X only). The whole Native Access thing sounded a bit weird, and I got the general impression it was a buggy release, so I decided to stay with 5.6.6. Now, I'm glad I did.

 

I can verify it was released but it was removed..digital machine is tagged with it..

Where can I find a working Kontakt 5.6.6 on Mac? I haven't been able to find one that works!

 

The last one that was released on the sister site works great, no hiccups.

It exists in certain sites:
(no warez linking please)

But due to the changes in recent 5.6+ Kontakt versions there are annoyances. In this case, you can't add easily certain libraries. Only recommended for geeks, I suppose.
