There is definitely some eq or sidechaining in the need there. I don't know the use you're giving to this but (in spite of not being an electronic music genre) consider setting the bass to the middle.

Eq with envelopes, one teaspoon of delay

 

Well, to be frank, the tonality and tempo are pretty depressing (or call it melancholic). Putting excitement in will be hard anyhow.
First on, I'd try to find better sounds. Right now the piano sounds dull, that low synth heard under the string takes away it's beauty.
Rhythm-wise, the kick/low tom lacks punch -(both a sound and a mixing issue). The snare/clap could use some variation.
Listen to a couple of Moby tracks, he uses this tempo and feel a lot, and knows how to keep it energetic.

 

you definitely need to put some cymbal/clicky percussion into the chorus to make it more exciting,
maybe just a bit of ride cymbal or tambourine would do wonders,
search for "grid 2 garage" on youtube for inspiration
