I've never found another plugin that does what the PSA-1 does. It has some issues with phasing when used in parallel, but sometimes you can use it to your advantage like the Tchad Blake kick drum thing. Sorry I'm no help.

I use the Mecuriall JCM 800 Hot too. Word is the paid Mecuriall stuff is awesome too. If you're a Nebula user, check out the Henry Olonga All You Can Eat Free presets. He's got some killer GK bass, Fenders, and other samplings that are killer. You can use Nebula for cab Sims too.

 

Trash 2 is really special indeed. But for Bass the amps don't help a lot
