Lol, why is it that this guy instantly gets his period every time he sees the letters FL together? I'm assuming you're not using it, how could you possibly, seeing all your negativity about it.. So why bother? Why are you dissing FL every single change you get? This is way past ridiculous. And claiming that FL and IL are both in fact dead... Are they now? That so? You sure about that? Let's see some links - some numbers showing that IL is heading straight for the cliff. From where did you pull that, DanielFaraday? Yeah, that's what I thought.

To render tails you just have to set the time makers a bit longer on the playlist
and if there was a tab on the rendering box to disable fx
you would still have to press it manually same as on the mixer,
if you skip to 5.37 there is a part about declicking fades
so thats fade in and fade outs as well as declicking fades fl has to offer,

 

Its Fuckin weird...This registration issue I mean FL and plugins appearing in demo mode should be a bug...I think..Because doesnt say anything about this in change log ...Except if they have integrated call back to home option in this version ..However it may be just a registration Bug

version 12.5 will be version 13 when complete so the key has changed.

 

So this problem can be solved by adding a duplicate reg key in the registrations area in regedit ...By just changing the version number /??

I want to add somenthing as a Fl Studio user, it's cool, it's quick but it is NOT competitive against any other DAWs like Ableton Live, Studio One. Fl studio has many great vst plugins but its workflow is a mess when it comes to automations, it's very buggy (crashes a lot), its plugin vst list organization is horrible. I still use it and love it, but it is not the only DAW I use, not anymore

 

I dont have fl studio right in front of me, but there is fade in and fade out automatically somewhere in a menu while you right click a clip (be careful not to right click on the clip itself ;) lol thats another dumb thing from fl studio)

 

To me, all of this is very subjective although there are generally standard ways to do things that most people will find best.
I mean, how a list organization is going to ruin your production? I think both the plugin picker nad list methods good enough to me, no hassle. Does this make it not competitive with Ableton or S1?
Crashes do happen but it's such an unpredictable thing (could be a bugg plugin, a hardware issue, your computer simply decided to stop working that moment), I've had crashes in Ableton, had more in FL sure, probably cause it's my main daw but still, not something that makes it "un-competitive", never lost a project because of a crash, for example.

The automations is something that I love, I simply prefer the freedom you have in FL than the more black&white approach of other daws. If I want a static pattern-bound automation, I simply use the event editor. Again, preference.

In the end, all these 3 are very capable daws, each has its strenghts (ableton live perfomances, studio one recording/comping etc, FL studio freedom and pallete based approach) and none is less competitive because of that.

 

I had more crashes in Ableton than FL... S1 needs to be cpu optimised... also in S1 when I move around plugins... I get all sort of cpu spikes especially with bridged stuff... and yes I have very good specs

May be certain things happen to different people, for me, fl studio crashes a lot, the cpu spikes a lot, in Studio One or Ableton it doesnt happen that much,

the vst list in fl studio when I use izotope there are things like other .dll izotope based files that shouldnt be recognized by the daw but it still recognizes it creating an enourmous useless list, and with ableton there isn't like no freedom to do everything I can do in fl studio but may be I haven't seen all of its features

 

Im on PC and ive tryed alot of DAWs i loved Ableton but i really loved the way BITWIG handles cpu...But the Piano roll in FL is perfect for me and i also like the easy modulation i wish Ableton or Bitwig would steal the idea of the Piano roll from FL......Hey thats an idea if someone could make a MAX4Live FL piano roll rip off they would help alot of people out...that one little thing is what keeps bringing me back to FL Studio......FL Studio is like that girl i used to date but want nothing to do with but i keep going back to her house because she's a Superfreak!

 

i've stuck with FL because the piano roll & the option to dump score log if ur playing around & hear something nice you dont have to stress about losing it
