MASCHINE 2.6.5 also lets you use MIDI to change Scenes in Ideas view directly from your DAW of choice. You’ll also be able to change kits or load new Groups on the fly while audio and MIDI routings stay preserved. [←THIS. FINA-FRIKKIN-LY]

This update introduces Ideas View – a new view for mixing and matching patterns independent of the timeline. Try out new beats, vamps, and fills. Audition melodies and alternate elements to find combinations you like.
The Ideas view resembles the layout of the MASCHINE JAM controller where you can see all Patterns in your various Groups at the same time. Building Scenes then becomes as easy as just clicking on all the Patterns you want to be part of the Scene--no need to switch between Groups and select Patterns from the Pattern Manager menu.

@Zenarcist If you're not planning on using it, I'll buy it from you. I've been waiting for static MIDI configurations for a while and now that it's here, my previous Bidule setup is making a whole lot more sense.

EDIT- Nevermind. I just saw your PM.

    TIP FOR MAC USERS:

If you backup your previously installed (unlocked) Maschine.app as a zip and then install the update, you can use it later alongside 2.6.5. without problems! Just unpack it and rename it to Maschine 2.6.2 or whatever and put it back in the Maschine Folder.

Had a go with it yesterday... man its SOOOOOO much easier to lay things out this way. I cant believe how quick it is to flesh out a track now.

Having to do things in the arranger was so clunky. It was literally the one gripe I had about working in Maschine. For some one who struggles with arranging tracks, the "ideas" layout is a lifesaver.

    Right on, NI

Yup, great for arranging. it's one of those features which should have been present since Version 1. It's just so logical.
For me though, the ability to NOT lose the routing if you load groups is a great improvement. Because I got all sounds routed nicely inside Logic. And the fact that all routings would reset when loading a different Group was a real bummer.

You can still use Service Center for Downloading it, btw.

    Hello,

Is there a way to use this update with previous r2r realease ? I try but i have the demo-Activate warning on launch (Wrong Systemid)...
Unfortunattely i buy harware without licence software and i can't update... And NI can't give me a licence...
I think i have to wait an hypotetical r2r update... But if you have a clue.

It just means you have 2 standalone Versions in your Maschine Folder (2.6.2 and 2.6.5 in this case)
