What does the number of Samples of a track shows ?

    Hey everybody,

    I have the program Myriad and analysed a song. Here is a screenshot of infos about the song :

    I compared the song Turn down of what in it's .mp3 format and wav 16 bit. I saw there is a "Samples" information, it's composed about 9'000'000'000 of samples, does this info really shows the "quality" of the track ? What information could we see with this ?

    It's just a total of all samples measured at the current samplerate, 44100 x 3.36.137 (=216+ seconds).
    Is there any difference in samples between mp3 and .wav?
