I usually work with Ableton or Logic
I need something similar to 'Image Line Gross Beat'
    Any ideas?

Meldaproduction's MRhythmizer is probably your best bet, but it's a little more complicated. There is also a multi-band version.

For something simpler, Cableguys' Timeshaper is also nice.

Why not just use Gross Beat? (there's a VST version)

edit: oh, didn't notice the "mac" part.

Second all of the above. Sugar Bytes has a bunch of multi-effect plugins that do similar type FX in different ways: Effectrix, Turnado, Artillery and Looperator. Izotope's Stutter Edit too.

If you use M4L chain a bunch of K-devices devices together and you can get there. You could do the same with standard Live devices and/or follow actions, dummy clips and returns. Tom Cosm has an awesome setup called the Automatic Glitching Device, that's phenomenal and if you dig into it, more customizable than any one plug out there and it only uses stock Ableton devices.

Not sure how this would work 'coz I'm not on Mac and don't do FL but Image-Line has Alpha versions of some of their plugins in VST format for OSX including Gross Beat. http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=125055#p908247
They seemed to have stopped developing it a while ago.
They are 32 bit so you may have to bridge them. There are wrappers available that could host the VST in an OSX environment but honestly that's a lot of configuring for something you could do just as well, natively, with a different tool.

As far as I know, the specific time shifting effect he's looking for isn't all that common in multi-effect plugins, although one can get similar--albeit less tweakable--results using the vinyl and scratch effects that are included in them. In Gross Beat, Rhythmizer, and TimeShaper one can control the time shifting effect with an editable multi-point envelope like those found in Absynth, Serum, Dune 2, and other modern synths. In that way, it's possible to create custom and complex scratching effects. I only know all this because I was looking for a more complex alternative to Timeshaper a while back and eventually found Rhythmizer. In fact, that's the only alternative I found for producing that precise effect, but I might have missed something. I'd love to hear about it if anybody knows of something I overlooked.

I get what you mean. MRhythmizer allows for clinical movements. I hadn't even tried MultiBandRhytmizer, so thanks for the heads up. For what it's worth, you can get pretty precise control using automation lanes with any of the plugins above but again, not the quite the same.
