Eurovision is a political asslicking show and should be drowned in the deepest abyss. It's just pathetic.

Here in Spain we loathe the thing, to the point that only around 6k people actually voted to decide their performers. Not that it matters, since the show judges were directives of the music label of the guy that won. He had half the votes (and the talent) of the other contender, but a payed jury, LOL. It blew on stage. oh, big surprise again. Total crap.

At least we take it with humour, and the spanish internet tries to troll the contest every year. Mass-voting lame participants with scripted voting systems (hacking) and so on. That's how this thing managed to get on it:

They tried to do it again, but the TV channel put a "last show" with judges since. Still, we see things like this from time to time to get some laughs:

They also hacked this years' "Got Talent" final. One of the judges already knew and left the show in anger. So yeah, fuck them. Go make some real music and work your ass off like the rest of us.

Sry to bump this topic. But I rly think that this is the best (hype!) pop song I've heard so far this year:

Admittedly, I haven't heard any other pop song this year. So... it appeared in Eurovision? So what. It has lots of lovely shit in it: those toms! Fingerclicks! Ironic 2x handclaps w/ too much verb! Dat lovely vectory comping squidgyness! *sigh* mmm.. If Britney had released it, everyone everywhere would be hating on it while listening to it "ironically"; also dancing.

I have no idea whether it made it to the finals, @Beth . But it was a song contest, not a performance contest / talent show. And that was the best song. Everything else was a 1-time listen. I have defo *blushes* not been listening to it on repeat all day. No way. Not at all. >__> <__< there was also no dancing! None whatsoever!

@famouslut yeah the contest has developed into more of an over the top gimmicky performance/spectacle/political forum. that's just the way of the world i guess.

as a 'song' contest though yes that one could have by any stretch of the imagination been a winner. it sounds to me like an excellently well crafted and performed piece of songwriting.....i wonder if it was offered to anyone like Britney, Rhianna etc before it was entered for Eurovision. It sounds perfect for a pop artist like that and with their name behind it I am sure it would have been a pop hit.

Portugal, a worthy winner (I felt like his sister performed the song better)
I must say I enjoyed more the pause act ONUKA. Brilliant stuff!
