one the things i did was put a vinyl plugin on to add some 3d character and fill in the gap of transients( the highest octave lot of tiny transients and then not much transients in lower octaves originally, those vinyl clicks and qualities are not coming out as extremely loud on my end though, the transients on the highest octave instruments still much louder.
but everything your hearing i did specifically on purpose. again it is just my take on it. those 2 versions i did would be my way of remedying the track. you must realize that the song has some unusual characteristics. regarding the frequencies you setup i think its interesting, to me it comes across as a dream state like thing i like it. yeah i just added a bunch of 3d aspects and one was the vinyl plug, just surprised that the vinyl character is coming across to you as really loud. that was just a creative thing i did ,the reason being is the transients are all different thickness and width on the track you posted so by adding that in it gives some sparkle in those other regions , there are many other methods one could do and different techniques one could also do depending on taste.

no remastering is perfectly fine with no loss like in your case the track had plenty of crest factor and clarity.
it catches me as a little odd that you only want to talk about one aspect you didn't like and nothing about the other aspects , i guess i can just take it as sorry if I overstepped somewhere was just trying to give inspiration i don't wish to bother you at all. if there is any other qualities or aspect in the sound your interested in or you like ( hundreds of steps taken ) I would be happy to explain them if not , sorry if i overstepped anywhere it wasn't my intention.
i hope there is something you like in there lol i did spend quite a few hours on these with intention to be helpful, i do understand that does not always mean one is helpful though lol.
just please let me know if you are interested in any of those many steps ( besides the aspect you pointed out you didn't like)
