well to close that chapter, I've received the origin 61 today and quality is what I expected (as I only tried the origin25)
plugged via USB (MIDI is there as well) and USB powered (also via DC / 9 Volt) 8 assignable faders, 8 assignable knobs etc...no driver needed, keys are REALLY great, especially if you consider the price...way better than cheap M-audio and definitely on par with the axiom....a very good bargain...if you can find that taiwanese brand, dont hesitate it well worth the money!

I use a M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 for the studio

and a Novation 49SL MKii for live performance

Both great keys, ever since I bought the 88, the 49's been pickin up dust unfortunately, i'm a piano player so I need the versatility of 88 keys.

My first keyboard was a M-Audio Keystation 49 which really did the job for a couple of years but had to upgrade after.

since i couldn't find a used M-Audio Keystation Pro over here i went for a Fatar's Studiologic VMK Series Keyboard. Graded hammer action keys for the great piano feel on a nice price.
Together with the novation remote xl there are alot of controllers and knobs to work with.

lysergyk, it’s the character of „La Linea“ which was an animated series in the 70's created by the Italian cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli.

Here’s a small vid from the master of swearing ; )

    I use 2 keyboards:

Roland Juno 106 for synth stuff that doesn't really need modulation. Action of the keys is nice for tapping out basslines.

Yamaha CS6X for more general playing. Has a ribbon controller and the keys feel nice. If i had to describe the action it's the weight of a piano but a snap back of a synth style keyboard and it's easy to play since I don't use much force most of the time. The aftertouch works great as well. Too bad it isn't poly-aftertouch.

I used to have an M-Audio Oxygen 49 (selling it right now for $100 if anyone is interested) but the key action was something I couldn't get used to. It was light, but there wasn't the snap back I wanted.

Also if anyone has any experience with the action of a Roland JP-8000 do tell because I'm thinking of getting one.

    Hope this helps ^^
