Hi,

So I have 9.7 and I'd love to be able to use clip automation for sound design and so on but all that appears is 'clip' and then the various warping and volume automation parameters in the box below that, no 'filter fequency' or anything even when I have an Autofilter placed in the FX chain on that same channel. I've watched plenty of videos on this subject so I know it's possible but for some reason this version of Live just doesn't seem to have the option available. On MIDI clips it's the same but with the MIDI options instead of the warp ones.

Any clue how to go about enabling it? It's not a killer to my workflow as I've managed all this time without but I'd love to be able to use it if I can.

I found out that if I open up any plugin's generic parameters section and right click a parameter and click 'show modulation' then that parameter will appear as an option in the clip automation box.

@V4nger Make sure that show automated parameters only isnt checked in the dropdowns. Then it will show all of them and automatically add the automation with only clicking on the knob/slider/parameter.

 

Yep, that doesn't work on mine! Only thing that has worked is what I mentioned which isn't really a problem as it means I can simply select exactly what I want to automate and have no others showing!
