Hey @ia, so to answer your question:

Positive Grid's Bias FX features a good range of effects pedals, amps, cabs and rack unit emulations. Its interface is based on chain functionality where you drag and drop those various components in order to create your guitar tone. You are able to blend multiple amps too for beefier tones or just to pan them apart. What you can't do in Bias FX is open up an effects pedal or amp and change its deeper level settings such as swapping out the tubes, preamp tweaking, transformers, tone stacks etc.

That is where Bias AMP and Bias PEDAL come in, as those plugins integrate into Bias FX where you can tweak each pedal or amp to your liking then port it/ them into Bias FX to create your full tone chain.

Bias AMP allows you to load up only one amp at a time and a cab/ mic combo, however you have endless tweaking options for every stage of that amp as mentioned above so you can mod it however you like. The amount of emulated tube gain you can achieve after a bit of tweaking is pretty crazy and you can totally go overboard with it if that's the sound you're after haha! There have been a lot more amp models added since Bias FX first came out too. Once you're done tweaking you can then save and port that modded amp into Bias FX when you like. There's also an amp match feature where you can match a tone you like from either a real amp or a guitar tone from an album, which works pretty well! I tend not to use that feature but if you're after a specific tone this is really cool to experiment with. (Personally I prefer to tone match using iZotope's Ozone 5 then create an IR for it).

I'm sure you're getting the gist by now but... Bias PEDAL is the dedicated plugin where you can create and tweak your own distortion, overdrive and fuzz pedals. You can mod and tweak components in the entire circuit from simple things such as the input volume, to the distortion stages and gain control, to pre and post EQ and the transistor models within the power module. There's endless possibilities here too for creating and modding a unique distortion sound and it's pretty fun to play with. Another great feature with Bias PEDAL is that you can tone match other pedals. I was intrigued by this when I first tried it so I tried matching a Maxon OD808 vII and it sounded nearly identical so I now have that pedal 'in the box' which is just sooo damn cool (to me at least lol)! As you will have guessed you can port these modded pedals into Bias FX as well.

Sorry about this being such a huge post but I thought I'd try to give you a thorough and thoughtful answer. So now you know!

Are you frickin kidding me? What is this...stupid question day? I have to mark this on my calendar.

One is for guitar effects, the second is for guitar amplifiers, and the third is for guitar distortion pedals. Let's see if you can figure out which is which...

This forum is in dire need of a facepalm smiley. Oh wait, nevermind I found one

Bias FX isn't actually just for effects... It does include some, but it's more just a kind of quick all rounder for making tones without going into deeper-level tweaking of components for the amp/ pedal sections. As I said above, you can port modded amps and pedals into Bias FX too so it's not quite as simple as you say.

Was this in reference to my post? If so I'm sorry if you thought it was arrogant and stupid... that wasn't my intention.

Why is @Von_Steyr systematically disliking @Mattc90's perfectly reasonable posts, is this something personal?

Bias Pedal is a distortion Pedal with some modelled dist pedals but you can build your own pedal aswell

Bias Amp has some Ampmodels and cab models you can buy some extra amps in the "shop" and it also have a tonematching feature and even here you can build your own amp as you can switch tubes and tonestacks not as much changing as in Revalver but enough to build your own amp.

Bias FX has both Amps/Cabs and Effects and is also integrated with Bias amp and Bias Pedals so you can load Amps and Pedals from them into Bias FX in your presets.

Yeah , I thought it was a no brainer when I responded with the link to the Website. How hard is it to look at product descriptions. Now I am a firm believer that the only stupid question is the one no one asks ,but c'mon O.P. , would it have killed ya to actually look it up yourself???
