I want to install Waves plugins but I have read many comments about how R2R version is giving some issues with the keygen etc etc.
So let me know which doesn't need internet connection & which one is more reliable at this moment.

Honestly I have no idea which version is installed on my machine, because it's installed one year before.
I tend to not switch every each new Waves versions. Version installed is very stable.

    --- EDIT ---
I found, my version is 9.6.0.155 Build 57316

as mush as i love R2R, but when it comes to waves i prefer the V.R. version due to how mush it's easier, i mean you use the normal steps as any costumer, then just do the Patching...

Cant be any simpler than the last few R2R versions. After the install its just to cmd file and enter it in the keygen and place the generated file. Not saying other versions flotaing around dont work but i dont never liked the R2R version when i had to go patching files all over the place.

And knowing R2R skill lvl i feel pretty safe with it and havnt had any issues.. and the flux stuff is a real treat btw ;)

I actually prefer AiR version. That is good old Waves v7 or v8... They work perfectly and better/faster but they lack many new plugins. Not an issue for me, though as I use them so rarely. Generally just for jamming and shit... not for serious production.

That's the same reason I'm confused because I just love R2R and their releases but when it comes to waves, their installation is quite a mess and also The waveshells don't appear so I have to add individual plugins. Never tested V.R version so thinking of switching to it as I have heard many positive reviews just like yours.
But in the end it's R2R, their history makes their work more reliable but V.R.'s reviews are making me to switch.
    Still confused.

R2R's version seems to take a lot of time to load, when i used to use older's version like v9.3, they used to load asap.

I'm glad to not use Waves plugins anymore. In fact, I haven't downloaded anything in like 6 months and feel good - less hassle and more focus on music.

Can you install them individually? (Excuse my English.)

V7 and v8 plugins are x86 only, mind you. ;) I use them with my XP. That's an incredibly stable setup.

Whenever R2R is available, it's the one that i choose. Always the most reliable.
And it seems they won't border releasing something that is already correctly released by others.
And maybe the answer is different if you're on PC or Mac. ( i'm on PC )

With all respect for R2R - don't know how they do it, why they do it.. I can be just eternally grateful...

...for me, the Waves install goes to V.R. And why not give them appreciation for their hard work

p.s. ATM no Waves on my comp - I can not speak for the latest.. but never had any problems regarding stability with any release.

So, long live R2R & V.R. and thanks to any group that let us try these beauties!

The only thing causing issues with EITHER version (For me anyway.) is not following the instructions properly. Neither team can be held responsible for that!

The only issue I had was with Sounds Forge Pro (Specifically the Wave Hammer add on). This uses 32 bit VST . The way around that issue, is to make copies of JUST mastering vst and make a separate folder for those. Make that folder the ONLY thing Sound Forge uses, and viola, all plugs work!

As for that poll? you should add an option for (no issues with either!)
