    Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows how to make that "record stop sound".
It's the sound where the whole track (or some of it) is like being "stopped" and you get that "shutting down" sound. Mainly after that there is this short break and then the rest of the track...

    Thanks!

You can do this by using the fade tool in Logic.. Called " Slowdown". Select an audio file and click on fade out on the left.. then you see slowdown.. (kinda hidden) use the fade tool and press cmd to draw it in and change the curve. How to get the same result in an other daw is the big question.

Go here and download this: http://illformed.org/plugins/glitch/

It has many effects in one, including the slowdown/tape stop effect!

With iZotope Stutter Edit you'll be able to make that in swift... once you get hang of the software. Also so much more than that. *yes*

The effect is called pitch envelope. All samplers/DAWs/audio editors have it (they probably have just a different name for it).
