I installed Omnisphere... with the mac v2.0.3d (or whatever the very first hexwars version is)... and it worked just like it was supposed to.

But I tried to install an update (v2.3.2h) and when I do the challenge/response thing with hex keygen, the Omnishere never authorizes... I tried batchmodding the vst/au but: 1) it already comes up with the appropriate permissions checked off, and 2) still doesn't work... Omnisphere does not authorize.

I read on latest mac release about "batchmodding" and then using some rsr keygen.

No idea what that is or where to find it.

Any tips?

 

Okay... so I see there was a different keygen that came out with v2.3.2f release.

After dicking with that and batchmod... AND after NOT generating the response code... AND ONLY patching... I got the vst to work!!

BUT.... my AU, when I drag it into a midi-track... it does not open?.. I use Ableton. I drag the au version of omnisphere into a midi track... the little square fx/instrument "thing" shows up in the bottom left, but the GUI never pops up... no matter what. The AU omnisphere does not open.

Any one know about this?

 

I use Ableton on Mac too but I always use the VST, not the AU. Anyway I was having the same problem as your OP so thank you because the info in this post helped me get past it.

I typed up the steps I took to get it working, just in case someone else has this problem and finds this post.
* Install Software Update v2.2.0e
* Install Software Update v2.2.0g
* Install Patch Library Update v2.3.0c
* Install Software Update v2.3.0h
* Install Software Update v2.3.1
* Install v2.0.1c Soundsource Library Update (came with the v2.3.1 software update)
* Install Software Update v2.3.2h
* Navigate to “Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST” and copy “Omnisphere.vst” to the desktop. Then navigate to “Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\Components” and copy “Omnisphere.component” to the desktop.
* Then launch “BatChmod”, browse to “Omnisphere.vst” on the desktop, change the owner to your username, change the group to “wheel” and check all the R-W-X boxes, check the “Change ownership and privileges” box, then click Apply. Then browse to “Omnisphere.component” on the desktop and do the same. Note: I'm not sure if the BatChmod part is necessary or not but I did it anyway.
* Copy the VST and Component files back to their folders and click “Replace” to overwrite the old VST and Component files.
* Launch the ”R2R KeygenSpectrasonics_2048_KeyGen.exe” file which comes with the Omnisphere v2.3.2f update. I use KeyGen APP to run the keygen. Then click the “Patch” button in the keygen app and browse to “Volumes\Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug-Ins\VST\Omnisphere.vst\Contents\MacOS\Omnisphere” (the R2R keygen browses into the VST file). The keygen should say “Patched Successfully”. Then click “Patch” again and navigate to the AU file (Components\Omnisphere.component\Contents\MacO\Omnisphere)
* Open your DAW and launch Omnisphere

 

Hey how do you update Omnisphere 2 correctly on Windows 10.

 

do not know... all I know is that, my problem was that the second to last update had a new keygen in it.

So that's why I was confused as to why everyone is telling me to "patch" the au/vst... since the first keygen did not have a "patch" button or function, etc...

 

hi guys i have omnisphere with the latest versions of patches soundsources and software installed. but i currently have projects that i go back into and the patches are reset to default this happens with keyscape patches too. Anyone know why this could be?

avi yes but you don't need all the updates, just the latest ones.
