yeah! you're on the path....great work so far...you're right with the vocals...there is something to do...my feeling is they should be dark and dirty with or with out vocoder ...but thats just my taste ....keep on going ...it will be very good!

 

Cheers for those comments. Sadly (or not), for me, the vocoder has to stay for my versions.

Your melodies are the sweetest in the world. Sweeter than Indian's or middle east's. Very serious about it. Do you use any particular Aliens' Scale or tuning? Never mind if you don't want to let on.

There is always Autotune.

That came out all wrong, it wasn't meant to sound disrespectful

 

No mate, just straight forward whatever is standard in studio one. And I wouldn't know an alternate scale from that of a fish. I always go with what sounds right for the moment, whatever the key etc.

The thing with auto tune is you still need a relatively stable and sonic pleasing source. That I just don't have, no how.
I like it as it is, to a degree, yet I understand how it can get samey or isn't universally liked. Any singer can always haver a go... For the right fee lol.

 

@foster911 is right, I really dig the melody. Very catchy! I've got to figure out how to do vocoding at some point. Very nice spacey effect. Will you be posting updates to this as you go?
