How come you guys put all the text in the middle and don't use the format used by native instruments with text on the left and then a graphic extending out?

 

Not at all. Sometimes, requests just get lost in the shuffle, buddy. If that ever happens, just send a little reminder to anyone of the wallpaper guys (like you just did). I'll hook you up shortly, Monty. BTW, who manufactures that library?

I think we had this discussion several months ago. There is no one way to create these wallpapers. Everyone has a different way of designing these things. There's nothing wrong with Native Instruments "default" format. However, there's nothing wrong with other formats either. My main rule of thumb however, is that people are able to see the library's title. Some people even want the manufacturer's information visible in tab display. Sometimes, I follow NI's format, but at other times, I follow my own. Here's the thing. With the latest two versions of Kontakt limiting the horizontal tab display field, I've begun moving the library info closer to the left side. But, there are quite a few people who continue to prefer the entire tab displayed with graphics, text, etc. That's my explanation. I'm sure others will give you their own.

I've addressed this issue a few times before. This conversation is already old. So far, not many complaints about my work. If someone thinks they can fill requests, and maybe even do a better job, that's cool. Go for it! But, roll up your sleeves and get to work. I rarely criticize someone's work here, unless their stuff is way off kilter. End of story (my story).

 

Sometimes, I'm a little slow on the uptake, brother. I almost finished that one last week, but got sidetracked. Stay tuned...
