Well, this isn't really neither an interpretation nor a cover version - but a technically nice reproduction.

Cubase :
for the bassline i used vst vember audio surge great synth
u-he ACE string
u-he ACE string playing the same as synthbell
the vocal ahh sound is a rip from the org fade to grey remix

Reason :
sub bassline : subtractor
synthbell : is two saw waveform from subtractor and fx chorus/reverb/unison/delay.
pizzicato : sound played at youtube time 2:30 is a sample.
violin : is a sample.

siren : sound played at 0:17 is a subtractor its a saw waveform running through a lowpassfilter
and i set the mod envelope to pitch and som reverb and pan about 50% to the right.

the second siren : like sound is also a subreactor with automation controlling a lowpass filter and resonans and fx chorus/delay/reverb.

real drums : is from som refill bank.

analog drums : is also samples but the bassdrum is from korg minipops and the snare/hihat is from roland cr78 and fx is chorus on the snare/hihat.

intro sound : is a thor and wavetable osc is ppg 0 harm 1-8 fx chorus/reverb.

el tom sound : is two subtractor and one of them are with noise
the both subtracor use square wav one with fast pitch down for the punch and the second one for the slow pitch down no fx.

ps. I know that the track is a little flat without the vocals but, are there no one who has them as I would like to do a remix of Fade to grey

"Fade to Grey" and "One Word"

In 2005, a copyright dispute arose over similarities between "Fade to Grey" and the Kelly Osbourne single, "One Word". Billy Currie accused "One Word" writer Linda Perry of copyright infringement and had discussions with co-writers Midge Ure and Chris Payne with a view to taking legal action. However, the matter was resolved after Perry agreed to pay them a share of the royalties from the single. Visage's second incarnation have announced their intention to release a "One Word" remix, but this has not yet materialised. They have, however, produced a reworked version of "Fade to Grey" in 2005.
