having a presonus interface was an eye opener how crappy the line6 sound quality is

 

To get great amp sim tones you need a great sounding source to feed them with. You've made a thread about this before and I gave you what I thought was somewhat useful advice. I would suggest trying out a DI box in conjunction with your interface and to save you reading a huge paragraph on why, here's a video with sound examples going from jack into interface to jack into DI box into interface. You'll notice the difference in the high-end clarity the most and how much the noise floor is lifted which in turn makes your tone clearer.

Then check out Overloud TH3, it's seriously incredible sounding.

Here are a couple of tone tutorials from the same guy, he makes some gnarly tones with TH3 especially, check out his channel. I think you can learn a lot from how he dials in amp sim tones even if you don't use TH3.

The other thing I'd say is learn to balance the sims' amp head by being able to hear low, mid and treble/ presence equally across the tone, this will change drastically with every cab you try. Have an idea of the kind of tone you want, how much gain, what kind of cab and try to get there in the least convoluted way you can. You'll find you may get far better high gain tones by actually having less gain. Try using an EQ to rid the tone of boxiness/ whistly frequencies before and/ or after the amp for clarity rather than for example a simulated Tubescreamer style pedal (although that could be perfect if you have a particularly bass-heavy cab running).

i was thinking about buy a zoom g3 i saw that it has great tones and it will be a less cpu use for reecordings

me parece q mejor primero tener una guitarra ´´TOP´´ captadores buenos hambuckers , activos, buen braso. etc. etc.
a mi me parece mucho mejor tener un aguitarra ´´TOP´´ Q PEDALES Y/O AMPLIFICADORES.
no sirve de nada tener llantas de ferrari en un fitito, en tendes? jajaja
si tenes una buena guitarra , entonces pedaleras con DI, etc hay muy buenas, tal ves si ahorras un poco mas podes pensar em:

creo q puse en el thread, tengo una ltd ec 10. es gama media, la pedalera mas que nada es para grabacion casera. de las baratas es la mejor que hay tuve la boss me 25 y la vendi, aparte la puedo usar como interface de audio y mejorar el sonido de la misma con IR's

solo tengo la viola nomas, la zoom la quisiera comprar vendiendo mi placa lexicon. SI obviamente quien no quisiera tener un axe fx o un kemper es solo que tendria que ser sobrino de bill gates o ricky fort.

it is because you dont have a good di in the lexicon, get a good guitar direct box from radial etc. or get a good interface for which their hi-z input re-acts like it would with a guitar amp impedance.

 

Or get a preamp such as ART MPA Pro II tube preamp which has both line and XLR inputs to feed your interface with.

 

share your DIs i'll process them for you, if you like i'll share the steps eq compression and amp sim i used.
