Description
TAL-Dub-X is a remake of our popular original freeware TAL-Dub plug-in with a lot of additional features and AAX, OSX 64bit support. TAL-Dub-X is no emulation of a specific hardware delay effect and it has its own special sound. Don’t expect one of the very clean digital delays. An important part of the delay is a special saturation stage and a high quality low pass filter with resonance setting. This makes the delay suitable for endless delay effects. It’s possible to use MIDI automation to control the parameters.

It would be very interesting if there was an LFO or better two or even three LFOs that you can assign to filter parameters and modulate pitch, too. This way it's just yet another delay with very standard and boring parameters. Just imagine what you could do with a couple of assignable LFOs! hint: like OhmForce Ohmboys.

 

okay so the concept is already there but why stop at one lfo, one filter and same waveform modulations? ...some daws already have these tools ...couldnt they make something different? ...some distortion, phase mix modulated by envelopes or gate, gated reverb, modules before and after, then i see same dwlays like 99 of devs 1/1 1/2 1/4 1/8 t/d why stop here? ... Waldorf for Largo has some delays never seen on any dev 5/3 1/128 they have all the divisions ...damn i wish i knew how to code

One more idea that not many delays have: a mode where you can process dry audio with the drive and hp/lp filters. That's useful when running as an insert, of course.

Also, a choice of standard LFO waveforms wouldn't hurt. Just want the best for TAL. There's nothing vile about my remarks. It's just that I've seen so many delays with the same parameters [and sound] that any new delay I see feels like watching the grass grow. Plain grass, I mean.
