Anyone aware of a data source with a compatibility overview for 3rd party plugins?

 

i didn't come across one plugin that didn't work at the moment

 

Everything works. It was a single bloody time back when Apple launched Yosemite when a lot of manufacturers failed to upgrade their apps in time for the os launch, but all of them corrected in the subsequent months. But since then, every time Apple is updating their os all you hear is "OMG, Apple is updating macOS and nothing is going to be compatible !!!". Pure unmotivated hysteria.

 

I'm on sierra now and it was worth the update I did try it as a clean install and did have a few issues with novation and focusrite plugins activating . So I decided to install over the top of el cap and I've not got any plugin issues infact they all perform great as they did and some perform even better . I had issues with pulsar modular on el cap with knob latency but on sierra it works flawlessly. Rigid audio kgm kontakt gui builder doesn't work on sierra but where I installed my OS X update over the top I've still got it working . Reason didn't work so I installed a demo of 9 and then installed reason 5 , logic works great . I figured if apple made logic only available from 10.11 up the next few updates it will end up being only 10.12 we all know how apple works .
But all is working great for me and I'd say it's worth the update mate
