Sounds like simple granular fx...Ubhik G (vst fx)from Uhe can do that or any similar granular fxs (there are many) or falcon (vsti) with the Ircam granular module, automate size of the grain, etc.

Just strumming/picking and sliding down with your hand (muting) along the fretboard. Highpass and delay and/or reverb. It's not more difficult than that.

It's essentially a muted glissando on electric guitar moving from what sounds like slightly beyond the fretboard (giving that harmonicly rich but ice pick-ish sound) at the start near the high pitched strings then sliding down slightly while alternate picking and muting the other strings to stop them fully ringing out. It's odd to try and explain a technique like that but as Baxter said it's not anything crazier than that. Then it simply has some delay blended in to elongate the sound probably with a quarter note repeat. Hope that helps! I could even record it for you if you like!

Defo a guitar slide thingy. Played a lot by psychedelic rock and funk bands in solos in zhe 60s/70s. I think this one in the videos comes from a funkadelic record. But not 100 percent sure. But it has been used a lot

its not one simple thing but an entire method of things stacked to give the final perception that comes across like 1 effect. what you can do it melodyne vst for pitch based element and then granular fx cant think of the name right now then chorus with control of it modulator

i dont know what your comment is supposed to mean through the eyes and ears and mind of the person asking they want to know exactly what is happening to make that sound possible independent of what instrument it is, they are asking about the sound design aspects and so i tried to be clear concise and specific in a helpful way look again at what i said.

"its not one simple thing but an entire method of things stacked to give the final perception that comes across like 1 effect. what you can do it melodyne vst for pitch based element and then granular fx cant think of the name right now then chorus with control of it modulator"

2 sentences that for which anyone can read them and construct that sound from scratch no matter what they are starting with even if only a computer

(although i am a guitar lover myself

Ah I see what you meant now. Upon first reading your post I thought you were saying the sound sample itself was 'not simple' and 'stacked' which is just somewhat misleading in the context of the songs the OP mentioned.

It is literally just a guitar slide effect with delay and reverb, most likely either an old funk/ soul sample as others have also mentioned or guitar recorded for that specific project, but I see what you were trying to do now. I feel like it'd be far easier to just find and use a similar sounding sample (like the one I posted to him) rather than spending hours trying to emulate a guitar effect using granular/ modular/ whatever else synthesis.

Don't get me wrong I personally find it extremely fun making sounds in synths but the guy wasn't actually trying to make the sound, he was just asking what it was and where to find it, which is why I thought what you posted seemed odd.

i understand where you are coming from also.
what i try to do in these situations ( based on my personal experience in the past thats all)
is pack as much information related to the question in the least amount of content or sentence while being as clear and concise as possible in order to stay objective and weed out the subjective things or in other words not to over intellectualize the situation it or under intellectualize it it dosent mean there are not more than one right answer though for sure.

.."but the guy wasn't actually trying to make the sound, he was just asking what it was and where to find it, which is why I thought what you posted seemed odd".."

i gave the answer i did to retroactively give him the information we would have needed to know what makes that sound up , so that he would not need to ask it because he would know what ever instrument happened to make that sound the characteristics of that sound itself

'My Career'? Do you recognize this avatar? Would anybody from the 60s sport a MF Doom Avatar? I'm an 80s kid who just happened to produce beats and knows some samples – that's all. But maybe you'd like check out some Eddie Hazel records. I'm pretty sure you wil find a slide like that somewhere. :D
