If you are making your own NICNT file, you need to be sure you choose a SNPID number that is not already in use. This program lists the SNPID Kontakt codes for libraries currently installed on your system. This allows you to choose a unique SNPID when installing a new library. Just thought it might be of use to someone :)

    DOWNLOAD:

    http://www77.zippyshare.com/v/xfB76NrL/file.html

    USAGE:

Install and run. If you installed Kontakt to
the default directory then you do not have to
search for the Service Center folder - just
keep the "Use Default Location" box ticked.

Do not tick the "Registry Search" button -
that is just for debugging, etc.

Click on the "List Libraries" button to show
your installed Kontakt Libraries. You can sort
    by name or number.

To use the "Export to Excel" button you must
have Excel installed. The program writes an
Excel file and a log file to your Documents folder.

Sorry to hear that, I didn't test it on Windows 7, but it should work fine on 8 and above.

    Great little app!
Any chance of making it able to output the list to .txt?
    Or making the window resizeable?

The best way is to reference yourself (in Excel spreadsheet) each SNPID for all libraries you have (installed, and "sleeping"/not installed). This requires a serious/meticulous work to avoid errors in future.

I don't have tested this tool (they're other similar tools posted by Tracer as "HomeCocking Tools for Kontakt"), but displaying SNPIDs only for installed libraries isn't THE solution (IMO) for the future.

Also, by using some "SNPID listings" posted (mainly as PDF) by many members here on AS forum, you can check if the SNPID you'll want to use is already reserved or not (it is useful to make custom .nicnt file). Also keep in mind any Native Instruments product (application, plugin or library) have its own SNPID (eg Massive have its SNPID, Kontakt 5 itself have two reserved SNPIDs: 322 & 323). In fact, any product (NI or 3rd-party) can be activated via Service Center (or Native Access) have at least one reserved SNPID.

I didn't make this program, I had it made for me, sorry.

No idea what you are talking about. It is just a little program to list your installed SNPID numbers, that's it.

Glad you find it useful :)

Excellent, glad it is working for you :)

    Thanks for this nice tool!
Is there a possibility to use it to change the snpid number as well?

According to the installation in Program Files (x86) this is a 32bit application. Unfortunately it then asks for .Net Framework 4.0, something I try to avoid to install on my machine, so I deinstalled Kontakt SNPID Lister.

I made my own program for listing SNPIDs for OSX. It will ask what you want listed - full list sorted by name, full list sorted by SNPID, just the names (sorted) or just the SNPIDs (sorted). The result is output to a tabulated text file on your desktop. The file name is timestamped so old lists are not overwritten.
It's here, if anyone is interested :)
