I'm sick of carrying around external HDs for my samples.. Is there any service that permits massive upload space and is safe to use and organized neatly? Free vs Paid ?

There's nothing safe since Donald Duck rules. And I mean Donald - the shame of the United States.

Let's assume that everything is super safe and wonderful, are you planning to upload a few 10 GB libs on the cloud and then stream them and use them direclty in your projects? Would that be practical?

It's quite useful when you like to sync presets and settings of 2 Computers, e.g. macOS , Windows10

It is working well. Put all my tutorials there, 400gb. Can watch them streamed directly on my phone even. Cool stuff.

II concur, Although if it isn't to good to be true then I really do appreciate the people that brought it up and pointed the good stuff out, I couald/would find such a thing extremely beneficial for backing up stuff that does not involve disk drives, Even complete images of my OS with everything working just as I want/need them to be, I guess at the most optimal and then once shit has started to clog up by simply demoing stuff, I can just use either a backup image of an external or from one of the above mentioned cloud solutions, It just seems far too unlimited in scope for the very small amount of monthly shekels.

I'll definitely check back to hear how people are getting along with the service, If it is as good as it sounds then I'll be throwing down for it. Cheers and best to all as always

There's plenty of free or paid space in the clouds. But don't assume for a second it would be safe. A provider can go broke, hackers love attacking clouds (and were successful already in the past), some providers like Google or Amazon constantly scan your space to analyze you and make money from the gathered data, etc.

If you are not concerned about any of the above, go ahead using the cloud for important files. Otherwise better use ridiculously cheap hardrives to store your data, for example as raid 5 or 6 (NAS is your friend). A regular backup brought to another physical place and you will be safe throughout your lifetime.

As Herr Durr says, if they mess up they don't really care, they might tell you eventually if any data gets lost, but they'll not explain in case you realise how badly they can mess up. One data centre got their basement deluged in a flash flood and they had the backups in the same room. Mistakes are made.
