can any one help me right now i am downloading for he 5th time omnisphere via a torrent a 60gb file but i never understood how to install

5th time???? wow....you dont give any details..I am a windows user but i Love love love omnisphere, when i downloaded it was in ISO form.....8 disks... the installation is pretty straight forward, things to remember that were odd, when you start up your DAW to authorize Omnisphere make sure you run it as Administrator or the keygen will not work......what exactly are you having a problem with?

 

i start to install and then it gets to a point that it tells me to insert disk #2 and i dont know what to do

and what do you mean open my daw as Administrator ?

 

The all in one torrent with keyscape is borked. Youre better off getting the original omni and updating it. Stick with the official scene releases and youll be okay.
I wasted about 120gigs of bandwidth trying the user submitted torrents. I got it working but was missing samples and had errors everywhere.
Then I just got all the original group releases and now everything plus all the addons are working fine. On windows though, but they were all hybrid (pc/mac) releases

All you have to do is mount all the DVD's at once on the desktop of your mac. Then they will install one after another. It's best to install them on an audio type drive not on the boot drive if your using streaming. Once that's done the rest is easy with the keygen. Make sure you install "Little
Snitch" to block any out going "phone home attempts" and that's about it. you can PM me if you can't make it work.

 

If they are ISO images you need to open all of them for Omni to install. Just mount all images.

 

So the best way for a first ever install of it is to get them from the original site and them apply hte last update? like this one "2.3.1 Software Update include soundsources 2.0.1c" Thanks for any help.

 

They have said you can mount them all at once...the .iso files, i wasnt aware you could do this, would have saved me time, but i simply mounted each one in turn as if i were putting the disk in and then hit continue. Of course in order to do either you need a program that will vitually mount iso files first. What i meant by running your DAW as admin is when it comes time to activate with the keygen, that i found out the hard way, it just wouldnt accept the r2r key, but once i found on here that i had to have daw running in admin it worked....but you havent gotten that far yet....to answer this last question if you can download from Spectrasonics and then just run the update you mentioned that should certainly work....as far as the keyscapes library goes i had issues with that as well, but i got it running fine, i forgot exactly what i had to do ill look into it at post it here once i do....Oh and i thought i would add some programs that can virtually mount iso files

For me I tried to open my DAW as administrator but it still didnt work. Whenever i tried to paste my reponse code from the keygen, it always crashes . i tried to do thatlike 10 times !!!. What do I do next?

 

try a different daw? would be my next step.

 

hi I'm on mac ... just install unzip every thing .. mount all the Discs ( macs dont need extra crap to mount them ) and run the set up when it asks for another disc just point it to the mounted disc its asking for ( only if you need to mine detected them automatically)

 

Yep, that release will give you errors after you just copy the files, BUT you can fix them rather easily. If you go to the STEAM folder both Keyscape and Omnisphere(and I guess Trillian etc.) got the zmap.index file somehwere under Soundsources. Well, just delete them and run Omnisphere again. It will take a while for it to recreate the files. After it's done, everything should work fine.

 

I actually edited the zmap files to point the to my real locations. None of the amp presets for any of the rhoads libraries would work proper. its like i was missing ir samples for the amp emus. I would just stick with the scene stuff
