I wonder what the single thread benchmarks are. If it comes close to Intel, I might consider getting Ryzen instead.

 

Let's price war begin, that's how we like it.

 

For audio work I don't need a graphic card and my i7-4770 serves me well running 3 HD monitors and even allows me to run 2HD monitors and one 4k TV at the same time. 8 ryzen cores at that price point look very sexy so I wonder if ryzen features on-chip graphic card?
Also, do we know if the architecture allows two (or more) ryzen CPUs on a single MB?

 

Intel will have to drop prices on their equivalent chips, or the chips will just sit on the stores' shelves forever! $1000 vs $400?! The Phenom II x4 965 was hugely successful, and the Zen will hopefully continue that trend. I'm an intel guy, but an 8-core chip for this price might be a no-brainer decision here.

Still happy with i7-3770. Makes for the best performance in class, and still very cost and power efficient.

 

Impressive indeed.

Intel is still having a slight edge but it's not significant anymore and price wise, their current CPUs are not competitive anymore.

 

And dont forget how this will change the laptop power/price ratio as well.Ryzen is trully a game changer, especially for demanding users like us.

 

Interesting. Will apple perform amd based mac? 95w. Prefect for solutions like imac.
