It's been about for a while, good idea, works well for sites like 'Silk Road' where you can pay for black market goods and no one can trace the money or the vendor (the site and members use Tor).

Don't think ebay will ever implement it though, so paypal will be around fo a long time yet. I hate paypal, they are always scamming folk by freezing their money for no reason, then holding it for 180 days, creaming interest from their members. They are nothing but crooks.

TOR is not anonymous, nor encrypted. That is the biggest misconception about it. You can trace anyone, their activities, etc, and the IP addresses are only hidden via base64, which is a joke. Set up an Exit node, and you are GOD. Silk Road is maintained by various federal agencies (local & international), on that government owned, controlled, and operated network called TOR. Anyone using TOR for illegitimate reasons has to be a complete moron. Like most hidden services on a government network, these sites are nothing more than a honeypot on a global scale.

Bitcoins are a scam too. They are worthless, and you can find people dumping them by the truckload on forums all over the net, because they realized that they are worthless, and they can't do anything with them, and nobody wants to buy them from them either. Its lulz. Its fake money that you have to pay real money for, that doesn't buy anything, other than making the guy that conceptualized it, a rich mfkkr. It is not an anonymous form of payment either. Bitcons can be directly traced back to you, even using the so called pseudo-patched bitcoin client.
