Quick Q. I have version 2 installed from the sister site. I have a copy of v3. Can I install over top of it and keep my settings or do I need to uninstall? THNX in advance. Oh and someone said something about the remote not working in v3. Is this true? THNX again.

 

I have both v2 and v3 on my music pc. They co exist side by side.
3 will open 2's songs but not the other way around, and if you then re-save them, they will only work in the new version.

Settings shouldn't change or be over written, but best to make a copy of your docs/studio one folder before installation just in case. You should have this backed up anyway.

 

They reside separately on your computer, v3 just copies settings from v2 upon installation, all my templates even transferred.
You shouldn't take anymore advice from the person who told you the Remote app doesnt work with V3, you need V3.2 or higher to even run it.
