I guess I'm not quite sure what it is that you're asking.

 

inNKX for Total Commander
Download this and install and you make do all what you wants

 

So good. Why have I never used this before?
For anyone needing to install the .rtf translates perfectly in Google Translate but the install.txt not so much.
In Total Commander go to
Configuration > Options > Plugins and press the Configure button next to .WCX
add nkx to the All files with extension (ending with)
Click New type and point it at your inNKX for Total Commander .wcx file

However... I tried to use this plugin to extract IR files from CSS but it appears to be an error here. Can't copy the text from the error window to google translate... What does it mean and how to get around this issue?



Edit: Tried a few other libs, some worked, some didn't. Seems like many of the newer libraries have problems to be extracted.

I noticed that too with the newer libraries.

 

With problem libraries :
Solved the problem this way:
1. Open the .nicnt file problem library in total commander
2. then, do not unzip it, open in a text editor the xml file, which is located in this nicnt
3. to erase the leading zero in the string: for example <SNPID>022</SNPID>
4. accept all save
5. when you save necessary files , return all to its original state of the file nicnt

Would be possible to extract the Teldex IR from some Orchestral Tools Expansions, please??

btw, you need to add nkr to the extension as well to unpack .nkr

i'm not shure but i think you can do it with R2R Kontakt, if you resave an instrument
( use a new location , you dont want to currupt your original )
Read the .nfo and use the "resave" method for extracting .wav files from a .nkx file.
If i remember correctly, wav files will be extracted and also all other files included in the instrument ( Pics, Scripts and IRs , etc...)
Can't wait to go back home and try it ... i'll keep you informed ...

 

I had tried resave in K5 before starting this thread
only instrumental samples, no IRs

I don't have Orchestral Tools Expansions
but I followed what DeeeZZZ said
and successfully extracted IRs from a couple K5.5 libraries

 

IRs have been harder to extract natively since Kontakt 3.

 

um....somehow I can't extract IRs from Soundiron Elysium Harp.

Thank YOU btc1750 for for pointing us to this util in the first place

 

Don't forget that some libraries uses Kontakt 5's factory effects (IRs or delay,reverb) even tough they present it as custom IR's
These won't be found in the instrument folder of course ...

ok man I finally figure out why i had failed on extracting IRs from Elysium Harp
long story short..

open .nicnt with a Hex editor (create a backup first..)
don't use notepad which will screw everything up
look for SNPID
somehow SNPID of K5.5 libraries tend to begin with 0
for example Elysium Harp = <SNPID>033</SNPID>
remove 0 and save (<SNPID>33</SNPID>)

also you need to restart Total Commander if you had opened .nkr before editing its .nicnt
