    Looks interesting.
I wonder how it handles chords and strums. Theyre not showcasing the polyphonic abilities the software. I see a toggle for it in the settings. So is it one or the other? I guess the only way to really know is to try the demo.

Last time I tested (a few months ago), this one was strictly monophonic whereas Jam Origin is Polyphonic and have better tracking.

Check your eyes again mate. I perused their FAQ and I found this:
    Why isn´t MiGiC Polyphonic?
We are working on it. Stay tuned.

I think that was my problem Jam Origin. No polyphony, which is a problem for me.

video demo on their site is old, I guess, so is FAQ. needs to be updated for version 1.0. but since they didn't mention polyphony in the new features list, they must be still working on it.

for all kinda questions regarding version 1.0, it's better to just ask here [email protected]

    Eyes working just fine.

I went straight to youtube looking for real world usage. My bad.
I saw this, but its old. Must have been for the investor showreel, lol. I notice he never clicks the polyphonic button.
Guess it wasnt ready for the 1.* release. Deadlines and all that.

    Anyone tried it?
I would be interested in knowing what numbers "minimum latency" are...

Seems you are right and I was mistaken for going to their own site, my double bad. It's odd that the FAQ which i pasted from and the pictures in their learn more section didn't mention polyphony. But i saw the button the second time i watched the above video.

I'm usually all over stuff like this and even if it's a gimpy product I can find something redeemable in it but this thing just sucks big rotten eggs.
It might be useful for belting out rudimentary trumpet solos with a guitar but play something in the least bit intricate and it won't be able to keep up. You can up the gain and redline your input to get it to detect the notes you're playing but still many of the recorded MIDI notes are completely off in timing.

Playing synths was the only thing that I enjoyed. MIDImorphosis on the iPad works better and is polyphonic to boot.

Did anyone have a better experience than I did?

EDIT - I'm thankful too. Just a little bummed. Damn expectations.

I installed it and tried it. I experimented with various latency and gain settings, but none of them worked as expected. Only half of the notes were recognized and the latency was horrible. Maybe I did something wrong, but it seems that this software needs a lot more work. I tested the plugin with various DAWs and also Patchwork. I also tested the standalone. The results were the same. Then I loaded again Jam Origin MidiGuitar, fearing that something was wrong with my audio system (Komplete Audio 6). It worked flawlessly, as always. Finally, I uninstalled MiGiC. I'll give it again a try in a future version.
PS. I believe it is an extremely difficult task to create this kind of software (there is only one similar in the market, and also a monophonic hardware solution -Sonuus) and it is understandable that the first versions may have some problems. We all welcome such efforts and are also thankful.

I was one of the beta testers for this release. It has no polyphonic sounds, and the plugin version only has piano, sax, and drums, and is impossible to control software such as Kontakt with. The standalone version has the options to control such programs, only the standalone would never work.
Very limited plugin, and still has a long, long way to go to be a viable MIDI controller option.

Thought it would be too good to be true.
Back to my Roland GK3 and GR55 then, heh.
One day software *might* catch up.
