It's not "geared toward women", it's geared toward mass sales to the masses. Those of us who have long relied on macs as top pro machines (that meet our specific needs) now have to look elsewhere because we are no longer apple's target market. Boo effin' hoo. Get over it.
And this has nothing to do with women.

Name 1 woman ever to produce a song by herself... Still waiting.. Don't even get my started with lady gaga[/QUOTE]

Let's start with the two most obvious one: Imogen Heap and Grimes

Another example which comes close is Björk. She produces hew own music alone and asks contributions from other people at the end of an album production(s) to jazz up the songs. I kinda wish she'd do one album alone simply to prove a point lol.

Sylvia Robinson, now sadly deceased, is credited as the “God Mother” of hip-hop, having taken the genre mainstream with her work producing Sugar Hill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight.”

Kara DioGuardi produced hits for Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears, amongst others.

Sylvia Massy produced Tool’s Undertow, and worked as an engineer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Johnny Cash.

Emily Lazar, the first female producer to be nominated in the Record Of The Year category (for her engineering work on the Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light in 2012) is also the second female producer to ever be nominated in the category in 2016, this time for Sia’s “Chandelier.”

Janet Jackson (the first female nominee ever, in 1989)

Mariah Carey (nominated as a pair with Walter Afanasieff for her album Emotions in 1991)

Paula Cole (the first woman to be nominated solo, for her album This Fire in 1997)

Sheryl Crow (for her album The Globe Sessions in 1998)

Lauryn Hill (for her album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998)

Lauren Christy (as one half of the production team The Matrix, for their work with Liz Phair and Hilary Duff in 2003).

Just to clarify something before being condescendant, slapping loops from packs doesn't make you a producer, that makes u a beat maker at best.

Just 1?? Ok that is easy. Linda Perry! The list goes on if you actually have followed music over the last 30 years but that has nothing to do with what I said, your comment was degrading to woman over all, as if they can't think for themselves.

    • This is unacceptable when directed at another Member! or Group of members. (Females)
I'm sorry but women are just not very creativity and have no sense of humor.. I'm not sure why but that's why they struggle in the music industry and can only be good singers. I will give them the vocals, fair? But all joking aside once LANDR creates mixing and song writing service they will be flooding the markets. Wearing their low cut shirts to entice the mindless zombies into thinking they can actually be hot and boast musical talent. I'm just getting you all ready for when this happens. Again, this has nothing to do with bashing the opposite sex most of them know their place but for them to step into the music production world is embarrassing.

    +1 for hackintosh

Best solution for higher level hardware, cheaper base models and a sick twisted addictions to Apple's OS.

I'll be the first to admit that i went this route and haven't looked back but if i hadn't, i wouldn't be bitching on audiosex about how slow my speeds are. Looks like it's time for a reset and a lesson on maintenance.

This is a very sexist comment, you are wrong on the premise of your argument. You just bashed an entire gender of the human race. This is complete ignorance. There are many talented women in the musical world and on this forum. I would suggest an apology from you, my friend. An this is completely Off Topic. You've been Warned.

You're embarrassing yourself, with such a narrowed view am sure your music pretty much sucks. That would explain it all. Any girl, messing with a daw for 5 mins might be a threat to your self proclaimed status. Even a noob having fun would highlight your lack of talent.

Get over it. Don't put people down to feel higher. step up your game or quit.
