Black Friday is past. Christmas time too (thanks God). On the internet every reseller is selling Waves's stuff like if these days could be the ones before the end of the world (If Trump agree).

The CLA-2A was my last bought. I no more support them because I don't like their upgrade policy and because there are companies which produce stuff more usefull and reliable.

What about you? What's your opinion about their last releases? :)

i don't like their upgrade policy too.
nor do i like how they claim individual plugins are worth say $199. when in reality nobody has ever paid $199 for it.
people who own legit waves will either buy it for say $29 one of their sales (i don't think i ever known Waves to have nothing on sale, ever) or they will buy it in a bundle for say $299 with about 10 other plugins included.
this kind of trickery in the way they value their products puts combined with WUP means i won't ever use Waves

(i know other companies such as plugin alliance also do drastic sales on "high value" plugins, but waves are in a league of their own)

Most DAWs have all the tools you need on board. If you have a good song or some other quality audio project going, you choose how to process things as you go, most of the time. Nobody is going to care what plug ins or hardware you use if the end result sounds good, and most won't be able to tell the difference anyway. If a person is listening to mp3 files from a phone, they are probably not audiophiles or engineer/producers. Buying plug-ins to create of some kind of "magic" sound in your tracks is kind of like trying to create alchemy. Curiosity took 9 tries to kill the cat. For humans, it got us the scientific method.

Some respect for the old Dinosaurs please :)

They may be facing extinction, but they left their sign on the planet :guru:

New technologies are coming, so if they don`t come up with something new to show their might, I am afraid that the end is inevitable, sooner or later... (I`d say rather later)

I don't know what kind of new technologies you are waiting for, but srsly. What can beat Rcompressor, Rbass and C6?
Seems like you need and army of people with doctor graduation to built a proper compressor with softclipper in it. If you don't need saphira - don't buy it. It's simple. IMpusher, Mixcentric, tonecentric, Scheps stuff, kramer stuff - OP. Worth byuing. API bundle - your only one alternative is UAD (Dsp cards is bullshit in 21st century). So why you asking?
