You can absolutely load an .exs file in Kontakt in Windows.
Use the Files tab next to Libraries and navigate to your downloaded .exs and simply double-click it.
    upload_2017-1-14_3-52-13.png
Kontakt should automatically convert it and load it as an instrument.
Sometimes the parameters don't map accurately but I just downloaded Pizzagogo.exs and it loaded up just fine.

Use Chicken Systems Translator if you need to do bulk conversions for massive libraries.

Sorry, I cannot upload files to AS currently. Something's broken here.
    I'll try again later.

i think i got it very close, with a little bit more work it will fit the sound. you do it with 2 sounds in nexus.

As Pinkman said, you can open it in Kontakt. I did say. ;)

Well, ok, but like I said, it's missing the exact essence of the encore de fois sound (which for me is in that mp3 of the pizz pcm). It's *a* pluck, not *the* pluck. If it's good enough, then great! It's not my request.....I'm just drinking beer on Saturday morning - sinner! - and playing Sherlock about one great sound.

Most any pluck will work, it sounds ok. But to get it exact.....? I never usually care much, but for this I do, for some reason. I've tried every pluck under the sun but without that PCM pizzi 8 bit (?) sample, it doesn't get there. Close, but no banana. ;)

That's very good. I still think it needs that pizzi.mp3 PCM in it. :D And maybe a little less Nexi reverb? ;)

Maybe less Nex Reverb u right, but sure u can do better if u work on it. the 2th sound "its pizza time" should be transposeed 12 and giving them both higher attack with envelope shaper, balancing the volume between both is important. little work and im sure u can get it almost the same.

Here's the individual samples and screen shots in case you wanna try other synths.
thor's filter does not sound "brassy" enough even with resonance=zero, so a different synth may get you even closer.

Can't make you this preset right now but I can tell it's very simple (synthesis speaking), most of big ass softsynths can do this. Serum, Spire, Sylenth1 or even Massive. It's really a very typical rave-ish plucked synth! I'm sure someone will drop a preset faster than me

So the sound that you shown before on mp3 format can´t be converted into a preset? Spire, Serum, whatever?

I have neither Spire nor Serum, so you can either use the samples I've posted (4 groups of hits, each with the Cutoff freq more open) or take my screenshots and hack these settings into Spire or Serum, that's why I posted them too.
In Ableton I would simply cut one sample from my WAV and drag it into Simpler.

Why are you so sure? I'm not. :D I am going to try putting some bit reduced transient string attacks on some Nexi type plucks though. It needs that exact sound to be exact.

Can you not save the Nexus preset and upload that? If we have the libraries it will work, no?

Yeah, but to get it exact? It probably needs that exact bit reduced string attack (and something else) to make it squeak just like it does on the recording.

It's a pluck - but how to get *the* pluck. I think it sounds great on the track, it's an archetypal pluck imo. But I've never heard it perfectly reproduced. It's easy to get close to, but to get absolutely right? That's clearly quite a bit tougher. As I say, I've never cared before, any old pluck would do, really. But for this one.......I know how it sounds and I haven't heard it anywhere else the same. It's got a bit of a chicken cluck in it? lol Something a bit screechy, alongside the pizzi transient and the plucky stab.

I feel quite inspired to try not just this sound but others based on that d50 principle - of putting the transient as a sample of an organic sound and then having a synth makeup the rest. I suppose modern gear does this anyway.

The problem is that I´m not precisely an expert on doing these things. So, for me, and I know I ask too much, the ideal would be to have a preset (for any plugin for Windows, I don´t mind), what I can load on any VST, Spire, Serum, Sylenth, Absynth, Alchemy or ANY OTHER and can play from there. What you´ve done is great and from an expert, and I´m not.

As I said, I know is ask too much, but a preset with the sounds like you shown on mp3 would be perfect for me. Load the preset on the plugin and begin to play and record.

    Thank you very much.

Sash will say he used the Roland JD-990 Rompler and that´s all..... And conversion to Kontakt is a disaster.

OK, here's the thor preset. You will have to use thor/iPad or thor from within Reason.
That's as much as I can do for you. I've just done this for fun, and I have a life too :winker:
Rename the .zip to .thor before importing.

I put the Pizzagogo Kontakt instrument, the XP50 pizzi sample, and a Serum pluck together.

It's 3 different bits so a preset is complicated to post. And it can be done fairly close in Serum alone, or other synths alone.

A fairly simple sound like this is a good way into making your own sounds - or at least modifying presets to get more what you want. Serum has some great plucks - load one up and fiddle and you will not only get closer to the sound you need you'll learn how to get their on your own. It's remarkable how simple it is, but also how complicated. An oscillator (or wavetable) ->ADSR envelope->Filter->FX. Serum, Spire and Sylenth are all nice, such that it hardly matters? And it's largely the same thing with synths over and over.

Just one tutorial and you can learn to do loads. At its simplest, it is very simple. For instance:
