Greetings. I was wondering if I could get some help transcribing this sample over to a MIDI file. My keyboard playing is not all that, and I was looking for a little more flexibility while dealing with this loop. Thanks. View attachment Synths 1 Root G.wav

^use that as AS said. There are also a few other apps that do zimilar things such as Melodyne (standalone), Audioscore Ultimate (cracked for mac only as of now), etc

^^ Agreed midi to wav/ wav to midi isn't quite there yet, the loop does bear similarities to the rocky theme 'eye of the tiger' download the midi for that stick it in your daw/synth and have a play

Also guessing from the description that its probs. in the key of G, though don't take my word for that you will need someone more musical than I to confirm

My method is to manually create melodies, for chords and complex stuff I use Melodyne in polymode then clean up the MIDI.

Thanks for the advice...I should have mentioned I did already try a couple Wav to MIDI convertors and the results were totally unusable. those programs only seem good for piano lines and simple notes, not any sort of chords...I noticed the Melodyne didn't even interpret the 1st note of the sample in question was a chord, although it was right about the G note...I guess the only real way to do it is to re-create the synth sound and play around while pitching it by ear...anyone good at this?

notes are g c sharp a sharp and those bits in between are all in g dead easy to work out really.
if youd like ill quite happily do you a midi. played piano for over 18 years so i have relative pitch. and since its alredy got the route notes the others just fall in to place.

Joem if you could create a MIDI file for me that would be awesome! My piano playing is in it's infancy so I would really appreciate it.
