    Hi !

I wanted to try the Softube stuff on Mac OSX and legit Pro Tools 10 up to date.
Newer Softube version is here : https://audioz.download/software/ma...lug-ins-bundle-v1311-rtas-macosx.html#comment

    There's a libstdc++.6.0.9.dylib file that I don't know where to paste !!!

They say : "WARNING!!!: Before doing anything, make sure you do a backup of your lib

    - Replace original lib at /usr/lib/ with provided lib for your OS

To locate /usr/lib/ got to "Go" menu in Finder, once there click "Go to folder"
and type it exactly as it reads."

I perfectly know where my user library is, but once I go there, I can't find any folder with a *.dylib file to replace... :(
Tried to uncover hidden folders but nothing new...

I probably missed something... If you know what to do please help me ! :guru:

    Thanks a lot

Right then MARJU listen up. The folder you want is NOT your User folder. You will need to show hidden files from the start. This can be done via Terminal but I just have a free App called Hide Switch in the dock which reveals the hidden files and Folders with a click. Other apps like Show Invisibles are also available. Open your Mac Hdd and you will now see a Folder (previously hidden) named usr and inside that is a folder named Lib. Inside that is a file libstdc++.6.0.9.dylib. All you have to do is back up that one and replace it with the cracked file and restart. Then install your Softube and make sure it is the Openssh Softube Plug-Ins Bundle v1.3.10.
Several of the bundle are problematic.
    1. Tonelux Tilt Live
    2. TubeTech ME
    3. Vintage Amp Room
    4. Summit Audio TLA-100A
and these need to be removed from the VST and VST3 folders or Cubase will crash. Also take note that the RTAS and AAX are not available for Softube on Openssh. You have not indicated which OSX you are on but just use the version of cracked libstdc++.6.0.9.dylib appropriate to your OSX. If you are on Yosemite, Cap or Sierra just use the last one and it will work. Also bear in mind that if you have a late OSX then SIP will have to be de-activated. Thats a whole other story and you will have to restart and hold down keys etc so just Google that up. Good Luck:like:

    Hi !
Thanks a lot, yeah I figure it out that the folder name is REALLY /usr/lib/ *stupid*

No problem so far on these plugins...

I'm on Mavericks. I don't use VST so that's fine, but there is a RTAS only pack from Openssh !
It saves my presets well, no crash... So far, so good !
As long as it works long enough to see what I really use or not that's fine, save money then I'll buy the one or two I use and delete this.

Thanks again for your reply :mates:

You can also just hold down the "Option" key when you click on the "Go" menu on your desktop, which will bring up your hidden Library (it will be the one without a key command next to it).

This is NOT what you do, just in case Iggy confuses anyone else. You do NOT want the hidden user Library. You need to go to a hidden folder called usr in the Mac root directory. Within that is another folder named lib and inside that is your libstdc++.6.0.9.dylib. Go to it Lads:wink:

Hi, after replacing libstdc++.6.0.9.dylib, do I need to reboot on recovery and re-enable SIP ? thank you

well Ted I'm on a Hack so SIP is not such an issue but if you are on a Mac Mac and running Sierra then you will already have had to disable SIP to access the dylib file. Once you have replaced the file you can then re-enable SIP and the Openssh stuff should run just fine:like:

I got the libstdc++.6.0.9 version 10.10.2, while the mac os I used was 10.14.4 (Mojave). Will I get a problem?
