I need to replace some old libraries for my Kontakt 5 because of space issue on my hdd. (for example I use String Session Pro at the moment, but it's 20 GB, and I need to replace with some smaller strings libraries)
But the problem is that I've used a LOT of these libraries on my old project in Logic Pro X!


How to come up with?

 

£80 for a 3TB HDD

My advice is simple: do not sacrifice quality for HDD space. NEVER! If there is no other alternative it is better to rid off libraries which you dont use or are not premium. Not all libraries are made equal.

 

I have similar problems, and the only solution is unfortunately to follow Articstorm's advice and render all your old projects to audio, or b. get another drive. As pointed out, they are cheap (relatively-especially considering some of the discounts you are getting here, and if you have purchased NI's stuff, you should be able to redownload anyways)....

I fall in the latter category, as I have hundreds of songs, over many different versions of Kontakt, DAW's, years, etc. that I have to be able to recall, so I have a farm of drives (just bought another 8TB on cyber monday for less then around 140$us... not the most portable of solutions all the time if working from a laptop and moving around....understood... but these are first world problems right?
