Little Snitch broke my Hackintosh

    I'm making the slow transition to a Hackintosh and have run into the problem that Little Snitch fucks with the system files and creates a Kernal panic. Just had to do a complete OS El Capitan reinstall. Can anyone recommend a less obtrusive alternative that works. Thanx.

    Yeah I have dual boot so that's a possibility and so many more treats available :winker: been playing around with Windows 10 and its not that bad. I was a die hard mac user for over 20 years, never thought i'd be on Windoze, feels like there's gonna be a mass exodus of pro users soon, in fact its already started!!

    And Apple is too addicted to iPhone money etc. that there is not enough manpower for mac. Now it's getting a problem, that Apple isn't any longer an apple computer inc.

    i'm on HCL 10.10.5 , no problem with hands off .... try to boot with the option -v -f or -v -x at the bootloader
    then remove littlesnitch manualy....
    if it doesn't works , try to re-install on an ext-disk then recover your files...
    you're rights guys , apple expensive pricing policy sucks , thats why Hackintosh are populars ...
    the price of a PC without the legion of virus acting on win system ....
    windows 10 is not so bad but ...

    Just don't hook up the Hackintosh to the internet and you won't need anything to stop it calling home!

    That happened to me also. Installed Little Snitch and broken my Yosemite Hackitosh. I was lucky that i had a dual boot machines so booted in Windows and replace newest boot file with older one (also chamaleon boot list). And the system started working again.

    rule #1 with Hackintosh: Is everything works think twice (or more) before install things

    From what iv'e read on the forums it's good to CCClone your disk regularly, just need to find a stapler to fix this note to my head.

    I have El Capitan and Mavericks Hackintosh's and don't have a problem on either of them with little snitch

    It is working like a charm here with OS X 10.11.6 and Sierra

    What I do, is starting the PC at nighttime and backing up by a Daemon over the network on a NAS. Or on an external harddrive. Works fine some years now.
    No need for a Stapler :no:
