In my homestudio I've got iMac, Macbook Air and Apogee Duet 2 external Audiocard connected to my iMac.
Macbook Air is connected to iMac via thunderbolt, and i use to transfer datas.

The question is:
Can I work with my speaker from the 2 Mac with only one audiocard? There's any way to connect my Macbook and the Duet 2?

Thinking about that I'm coming up with the idea of connect my macbook air's jack to the input of the audiocard...possible but is there any other solution?

 

For working with vsties and vstfxs that are hosted on another computer on your network which doesn' have an audio interface, on PC you can do that with Vienna Ensemble Pro, it's the solution that I use and it works very well, it's also available for mac. Your sound and midi then go throught your network.
For just transfering sound (also throught the network) for mac I don't know, for PC I know O Deus can also process sounds through the network but I don't know if such a product exists for mac.

 

Yes, i mean if there's any way to transfer sound via thunderbolt to be precise! or bluetooth. I don't know about vst and fx but i don't mind...i'd like to get only the volume from the Air to the iMac and to the audio card duet 2
