Wasn't this supposed to be it's own plugin, anyway? It's only on the sister site as an Omnisphere sound-set. If this is just an expansion for Omnisphere then it wouldn't be Spectrasonics' 4th product, because they already have an extension called "Bob Moog Tribute". Therefore it would be more like their 5th or 6th product (or 7th on up). Looking at the review videos, it should be it's own product.

In the video, he has it opened in Logic Pro X & the plugin name at the top of the window says "Keyscape" not Omnisphere. Therefore it is also supposed to be its own plugin. But the version released by TZ group is not. I know it can be used within omnisphere like Trillian & all, but we technically don't have the full product as it is. It's unlikely the issue, but perhaps it could be the issue?

 

hi guys. I noticed that every time I play an instrument from Keyscape library inside Omnisphere, in the Task Manager the RAM goes up and down, in other word the samples keep loading and unloading in and out of RAM. alongside, the disk is always at 100% (which I can't complain for, because it's an old spinning 5400 - but, every second?!). I think it works like Kontakt DFD, but with Kontakt I don't have RAM loading and unloading constantly. where do I go wrong? modifying the settings in Omnisphere didn't seem to resolve the issue.

and... When I save a patch, it becomes an Omnisphere patch, losing all the benefits from Keyscape GUI&stuff. is there a way to keep the Keyscape GUI with a saved user patch?

 

I installed the entire thing no issue ,but couldnt get the damn thing to generate any sound.....despite clearly seeing the diff libs availiable in the 0mni browser,just uninstalled n forgot about it just coz its got a good enough lib as standard...and most on keyscape ive got on kontact if ever needed

 

Omnisphere Patches 2.3.0c is a specific update. There's no need to patch drivers and all that. You'd only need to do that after doing a software update. Use the search box on the sister site for "omnisphere patches".. should be the first update you see.

 

Those rhodes wah and amp patches though. So so nice.
I fed it the midi from Prelude in E-Minor (op.28 no. 4) and bumped up the BPM

Yeah, i installed that update. But after that, when i check my omnisphere version it still says it's running on the old patches. Tried it twice, first installing the software & soundsources, then the patches. Also tried the reverse order and my patches changed to another version, but still an old one.

 

Okay i fixed it
Anyone that might have the same problem as me, instal in this order:

1. instal omnisphere 2 (download on other site) + patch component & vst file with keygen
2. instal this patches update
3. Instal software update
4. instal soundsources update
5. patch component & vst files

Ok. I've read the entire thread and tried everything suggested but still can't get Omnisphere to see Keyscape. I have all the updates done. Can someone upload a picture showing how they have this in their STEAM folder? I can always usually find a way through but not this time.

I've installed in your order but have had no luck seeing Keyscape. Can you do a screen grab of your folder hierarchy so I can see if there's something missing.

I'm not on a Mac but hopefully you find this useful.

 

There's a file in the Keyscape STEAM folder located at Spectrasonics\STEAM\Keyscape\Soundsources\Factory\Keyscape Library called zmap.index
If you open it with a text editor you'll see that it points to a location on the E:\ for all the different libraries.

Find all lines with
"E:/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Keyscape/Soundsources/Factory/Keyscape Library/Keyboards/"

and Replace them with
"Keyboards/"

 

Thanks for posting Pinkman. On the 'other' website the consensus seems to be that you have to remove all the .db files from their folders. But if your system works maybe I'll try and put them back! I'll also have a look at the zmap file.

My patches are 2.1.0f and i have keyscapes working fine, Also my STEAM folder is located on an external I just created a shortcut, oh yeah i remember i had a problem getting keyscapes to show up as well but i believe the solution had to do with the zmaps, i did not delete anything i do know that

 

i also followed all directions...am on a mac, and can't see the keycap library at all...

the zmap file doesn't show the "e:\" location issue...

granted software is on 2.03d, but patches are 2.3.0c
it sees and reads my trillion patches just fine...

any help is truly appreciated.

so i managed to update to 2.3.1 successfully....still not seeing keyscape tho...

So i fixed it...turned out the actual keyscape library.db file didn't extract properly. As it was showing as keyscape library.db.part....if anybody runs into an issue where omni is up to date, and still not recognizing the keyscape library...which was in the correct location...lol

Need help asap please ... 1) when creating the folder hum... plugings on ur desktop, where do u copy the plugings to paste inside the hum... plugings folder on ur desktop so u can patch... ? that's the only part I don't get . Please help

I'm currently stuck in this as well guys...I have Omnisphere 2 installed and i can see all the different keyboards but the patches will not load!! I am on pc and my keyscape patches reads v1.0.1 thru omnisphere upon omni first loading do i need updates for both omnisphere 2 and the keyscape library ? If so anybody have a link to them?

 

Ive dl and installed keyscape some time ago and atm im organizing my vst stuff and also cant get it to work.
There were several Subfolders and i had all the Pianos in them.
Also the Documents and Settings Folder where somewhere. I dont know if i placed them correctly like Pinkmans screenshot does show..
Pinkman could you show a bigger Screenshot of all your Folders and where to place the crucial files like the zmap and so on?

would appreciate a lot

Hah! got it ! just place the folders "Defaults" "Documentation" Settings Library" like they are in the omnisphere library - mine where somehwere in the soundscores folder....so you have STEAM/Keyscape and there those 4 folders.....didi it for me
