Studio One 3 can achieve lower latency than others; my latest comparison was playing Orchestral Tools new capsule instruments; neither Kontakt standalone nor Cubase Elements 8 can handle 2ms setting in creative asio, and even struggle with some crackles on 4ms; but Studio One 3 handles 2ms without any crackles whatsoever and only some on 1ms, even though others can handle almost nothing at this lowest setting. Now, it is probably not possible to hear any difference in latency at such small differences (although the overall latency is much higher; usb (keyboard) alone adds 6ms) and I have also heard Studio One 3 does this latency 'trick' by adding far more midi jitter, which is also hard to test in real world. What is your experience and knowledge regarding these matters?

Reaper has been the best for me.Cubase is not good. I can not record my live guitar without out a big latency.

The driver of your interface is the most important part if it comes to latency not the daw. With my rme drivers I achieve in any daw I ever tried 32 samples which where around 2ms. But s1 is at 2ms by far the least stable daw I ever used. My experience. Reaper > sonar = cubase (8.5 pro) > s1 stability at low latency.
