Hi,
Recently (for some reason) I got this problem with my kontakt,it started after my antivirus false flagged one file of the kontakt as malware(already restored and put in whitelist).

Every time I open Kontakt (even the Standalone app) I have to wait about 2/3 minutes because the app is freezed,cant do nothing about it,and only after then I can select the library I want to load.
That means the not only when I start the app/Vst I have to wait,but everytime I put it in background(and work on something else,or work on different vst) and I want to re-open it to change/modify something,even if the vst is already loaded.
I tried to reinstall kontakt, also in differents HDD/SSD but got the same problem.

Is there anyone who got a similar problem that solved it?

Is it windows 7 or windows 10 ?

Does it just freeze on opening?
or is it freezing like when you load a library etc.
If it freezing for a long time with no patch etc just when your opening Kontakt is possible it may be something to do with the database.

 

No freezes when I load libraries,just only when I open Kontakt(or re-open kontakt from the taskbar ).
Also tried to delete libraries but it seems a problem of Kontakt program itself.
If I reinstall the program it doesn't solve the problem,maybe there are some hidden folder to delete in order to have a new clean installation

It worked,didn't know that could be a problem.

 

Also, if you have any CD/DVD drive loaded, Kontakt spins it up every time you open the GUI. Infuriatingly slooooow.
