Sounds liek it's already patched. Or read-only?

Guesswork follows... But prolly u got 2 diff DAW looking in 2 diff location? Try checking where Ableton scans, and copy/paste that dll 2 ur FL Studio plugin dir? Or maybe update FL Studio? Or maybe FLS has bugs?

Could someone make a list of the Omnisphere 2 updates and the order they go in? Would be much appreciated!

They may not be labelled like that on *ahem* Spectrasonics servers. Not sure if it matters how u update, except the patch updates might need 2 go in the right order? Just need 2 install latest (231) update after that...

 

I Need Serious Help On This Very Issue ASAP LoL I Have everything for a clean install i followed all the steps, i even found out i had to delete something n it still won't take the generated response code !! I also ran the keygen on other 2 dll's and it still won't accept the response code n i've tried 5 or 6 times now. I went ahead n tried it running fl as administrator n i'm still stuck can someone please help me

Shot in the dark.... is the file protected? Try messing around with permissions, maybe on the DLL.
(on PC anyway)

 

guys, there's nothing hard in installing Omnisphere, it's a 100% portable standalone DLL app ! i don't know why Dynamics and R2R made such a mess.

1 - C:/ProgramData/Spectrasonics <-- this only contains the KEY file (audio**.dat, which you dont even need as it's created when you register Omni from your Daw) and a the 32 & 64 bit plugins, these DLLs won't be used anyway as your daw will pick up the DLLs in your VST path !

2 - the STEAM folder, which you can put anywhere, just create a Shortcut in C:/ProgramData/Spectrasonics called "STEAM".

3 - no data in the Registry apart for the STEAM Path, if you get troubles with this delete the key in the registry or edit the key with the correct path.

4 - patching : you must patch a total of 4 DLLs : in your VST 32 path, VST 64 path, and the two DLLs in C:/ProgramData/Spectrasonics, but your Daw will only use the one in your VST path.

5 - registering : use R2R keygen, dont bother if your Daw crashes, it's normal, restart the Daw and you're done.

6 - Trillian : you should better install it FIRST otherwise it will cause some troubles missing presets when called from omnisphere, standalone it works fine

7 - Moog : it's just an addon library and yuo can install when you want

8 - patches : the library patches must be installed in the correct order or they could fuck up some ZMAP and INDEX files, in some cases you can delete them and Omni will recreate them when make a Refresh but this doesnt always work, with Trillian for instance lots of troubles, with Keyscape OK.

9 - torrents : i noticed there's a russian torrent about 160Gb large, it's not full there's a dozen missing DB files in Keyscape and probably also in Omni so be warned, use the Dynamics release with the R2R keygen.

I'm well acquainted with the patching process, and everything's installed fine. However... I simply can't find the .vst (/.dll - I'm on mac) file to patch. Anywhere. Not in my usual Audio - Plug Ins folder. Not in the original install folder, and not even on a full search using .vst or .dll of the entire drive.

Any ideas anyone?!

 

Thank you for this Mixdowner - cleared up a couple of grey areas for me. It was patching 4dll's that did the trick. Very happy now.

 

I have a question guys, am i gonna loose sounds that were made in Omnisphere1 when installing Omnisphere2 .. i'm still working on some projects using omnisphere1 and i do not wanna loose them, i hope i get a reply. thank you

 

Whenever I get to the step where I need to open the keygen, it doesn't work. I click the Keygen.exe to open it and instead of opening, nothing happens. It doesn't even give an error dialogue box. Anyone know why?

 

This does not work. I've tried every single thing I can possibly imagine and I can not get Omnisphere 2 to play a sound. I did everything perfect but something with my old Omnisphere Steam folder must be causing problems. The shortcut is correct it's not that. How can I just start from scratch without losing Trilian/Moog? Or should I just delete it all start a new folder and re download these programs and reinstall? I don't want to do this but there must be someone who had same issue as me. Using Windows 7, Daemon Tools, C:/STEAM, Cubase 8 Elements

 

Edit: If anyone runs into the problem where you are not getting any sound but everything seems to be installing correctly and you have followed everything by the book. What you need to do is just copy your Trilian and Bob Moog stuff to another folder temporarily then just get rid of your original STEAM folder, .dll's, and programdata folder and start fresh. Install Omnisphere 2 like you are suppose to then add back Trilian and Bob Moog and do the patches and you should be up and running. This might only happened to people who had their STEAM folder in a different location then the default like myself. This finally worked. Thank god. Good stuff.

I am installing Omni without Moog and trillian.
As you said everything seems correct but no sound.
I get

Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.3.2 Software Update include soundsources 2.0.1c
So my software is 2.3.1 but the soundsources remains to 2.0c ???

Meaning, I have the correct software but the old version patched. So Omnisphere works, but I cannot load any sound.

 

Every sound in Omnisphere 1 is in Omnisphere 2.

Whether you get it working is another matter, as others above will testify to.

All you need is to download
Omnisphere Patches 2.3.0c update win/mac 37.4mb
Install it and then it will work as a beauty
