    Hello,

I'm looking for a good sample library with one hit drum sounds for making d'n'b.

I'm not interested in loops as I really want to try to program my own rhythms. Which library has those sizzling hihats? Of course it's also all about the programming , I realize.

yeah there are lots of useless loops lib for dnb. one shots are hard to find.
i was searching youtube for some dnb tuts and found some interesting videos with some sample downloads - its not that much but they are a start.
btw dubstep is using similar samples - maybe check this aswell on youtube.

Sizzling hats Distortion is your friend.... DnB producers are using the same libraries as most other dance music genres.

Vengeance, Wave Alchemy, Goldbaby.... The CM cover disc DnB libraries are good, especially the Nookie one. Some superb
Hats and perc loops in there, breaks too.

    Thank you very much, y'all.

The nookie thing is a really good tip and I'm gonna search on youtube.

I realize that I'm looking for the shakers, which let d'n'b really flow.

check out the computer music tuition section. maybe there is something useful for you.
I guess there are some typical sidechain compression techniques for hihats/shakers/rides in d&b.

btw. big thanks for the nookie link!

Some youtube tutorials got me more into the right direction. Some demo's showed me I can get my rhythms much better.

    Great info, chus!!

hi there , if you want to do your own , w/ a fast load , to get ideas going on , try Toontrack's EZ drummer or Superior drummer , there's the Eletronic kit and the Number One Hits kit ,but you can always have nice surprises with unexpected stuff like a jazz kit , and also Axon from Audio Damage . For bass , have you tried some old stuff like Novation B Station , ReFx PlaztiCZ or or RGC Audio's Z3ta ? Actually , they're maybe not exactly what you've asked for , but you can twist your own sounds w/ them . Hope it's of some help :break:

If you like any of the 90's era DnB, check out Zero-G's Jungle Warfare vol. 1, 2, & 3.

Packed full of one shots FX, Breaks, etc. :)

Wave alchemy have some nice sets too.

The SOR packs are stacked with ton-o-shots.
They are pretty old meow so it might be hard to find them but if you can... You will be in oneshot heaven.

NI Synthetic Drums 1+2, the huge Battery 4 and Machine Factory Libraries, the Akai MPC 2000XL sample CD or Electro Essenctials Vol2 are nice.
