How to do Nu-Disco lead.

    Hi, :D,I was wondering if someone could help me recreating this lead of Nu-Disco.

    Starts at 0:40.

    Its awesome, but I think its more likely style of playing that you cant copy than color of lead. Google MXXWLL and his facebook videos. He has that funk in fingers.

    it's a typical "Sync Synth Guitar" lead, the Roland JX3P/4P/8P was notorious for that sound.
    no need to start from scratch, all modern soft synths have similar sounds.

    +1 ..buying a good sax will not help with your funk, jazz,... improvisation skills
    +1 look for synth with SYNC between 2 osc ( that is "hardsync"). A synth with this will always have many presets (usually named as stated by gentleman above) at least as a starting point.
    If you want to play it quick and dirty, Omnisphere 2 has (sort of) hardsync. Personally I don't like it (lack of control), but they made a sound-set that's fun to play. Maybe you can find something that fits your needs (the demo it's more metal than funky tho...):
