Hey all, like the thread title I have a few questions about omnisphere 2.0

I would like to purchase the download version of Omnisphere 2.0 from the Spectrasonics website, but do I need the version 1 to run this? Or does this 2.0 already contain version 1?

Will everything run fine, by just buying the 2.0?

(don't think this matters but i'm on pc!)

1 is contained in 2. It is an expansion of sounds and functionality.

 

As far as I'm concerned Omnisphere 2 contains the new sounds and also the same ones from previous versions as well as the Atmosphere presets.

 

thanks all for the reply, so i'm taking it that 2.0 should be good alone. It does support 64bit right?

 

I dont know where you are in the world but i'd check out online stores before buying it direct. It would cost me £319 direct or £272 boxed retail delivered next day.

 

Not to mention spectrasonics will charge you an extra $10 just to download it from their site. I keep a warez copy on a spare hard drive for that very reason.

 

They only charge $10 for additional downloads, they don't charge you for the original download if you buy from their webstore.

 

My mistake. I got the boxed version. At any rate, not a bad idea to keep an additional set of iso's hanging around.
