Today I’m celebrating the 5th anniversary of the day I finally realized that “Multiformat” on a shared library is often a convenient short form for “a bunch of hacks quickly chopped something up and mapped each single clip across the entire keyboard and called it an instrument, complete with clicks, distortion and absurd transposition warpage, then gave it trendy name, put a sexy woman or a scowling closeup of the “producer” on the front and chucked it into the market for unsuspecting 15-year-olds”.

 

Sounds like a Studiolinked lib. I actually know someone who manually cleaned up all the samples in one of their 808 libs with RX. He said they weren't cut at zero crossing, or aligned to the start and most had clicks and pops at the end as well as unwanted spectral distortion. Maybe he should release it as a PROPER lol

He paid for it and was unable to get a refund. That was the reason why he did it. To get his moneys worth out of the lib

Good on him. He should post a comparison online between the original dreck and his properly cleaned version - companies like that deserve to be shamed for the shit the shovel our way.
