i just hit order on the 192. after reading tons of reviwes it seems like its the best bang for buck and seeing as im using studio one 3 as my main daw now. seems like the best bet :)

Sorry, but I think you are dead wrong here. New Apollo units have one of the best converters in the market + the interface itself with ultra clean preamps, Console 2 capabilities and especially Unison technology is a game changer on a whole new level. I also have RME UCX which is fantastic, but I use Apollo a lot more lately.

Again, Slate Digital is just fine (also have them) but I don't think they crush UAD. The sound of 1073, Pultec, Manley and Studer is out of Slate's reach. Just sayin' :)

I wasn't talking about the plugins alone i said the RME UFX + and the Plugins ... and people tend to like what they have so i get your point but i don't know about dead wrong. i've been doing this a while i know my shit when it comes to gear. Blind test audio interface vs audio interface Prism - Done. also i was comparing it to the RME UFX + not the UCX totally different. Have you listened to the Plus the UFX + it's bananas but i hear you.

From The Cut Sheet - All new AD/DA converters, optimized analog I/O circuits, as well as improved SNR and THD values guarantee pristine, crystal clear and transparent audio. A new PAD-free mic circuit design with +18 dBu maximum input level and 75 dB gain range serves even the most critical recording situation and source trouble-free.

I wasn't meant to argue in "X vs.Y" fashion, but then I'm a newbie for gear after 15 years in studios. what do I know?
It's cool. You are correct

All things being equal i know a lot of people really like the Apollo but the AD/DA is flat which dose well with the UAD plugins. In a recent blind test between the Apollo, Apogee and Studio 192 the Apollo came in last. that's not a scientific consensus or anything but most people said it sounded flat, once you add some processing you can get great recordings. But who would argue about the stability of RME Drivers and on top of that the UFX + dose sound better period. It's not even up for debate. My real point was that the Studio 192 has the many of the same features and rock solid drivers. It might not sound as good as a Lavry Mytek or Prism etc but it beat the Apollo.

I wasn't built for these boards and this is a perfect example why. I never questioned your knowledge or experience etc. after 15 years you should know what your talking about, you must. i've been making records a long time but who cares. Facts don't. I respect your opinion but i am always an asshole. Even when i try to be nice it's the Bronx in me. pay no attention nothing to see here...

I m still dont know which choose studio 192 mobile or ultralite mk4? i use a lot of virtual instruments so i d like to get some opinion some studio 192 owners who usually use virtual instruments, cause in audio that interface is grate.but i would like to know how bad is the studio 192 with RTL and if is notorius.
