Im so saddened by what they done to Firefox. Once the most amazing, open source, free, privacy-respecting browser is now spying on us and collaborating with Google on such a terrible censorship... What a shame.

What are you talking about? A browser and the Internet search engine are 2 different things. Firefox spying on you? How? Google can spy on you without any interaction from the browser you use, through its websites, services, cookies, and most of all your Google account. You can avoid that by not using your Google account. An you can avoid being spied on by not using Facebook account and logging out from all the websites that you use.

I always love when a company who break our laws, paying no taxes at all (in europe, they registered in a little Irland state where the local laws, well used, tell you dont have to pay society taxes), pretend to be a law enforcement officer.

God bless you Google, for thou almighty power. Save our soul from evil.

Let me ask the ones who are sure of it; does one need a search engine to open a bookmark? Cause it seems to me as I have noticed, google seems to know (showing the links in the search lists in different color) of the certain pages I have visited although I have visited them through the links inside websites unrelated to google... I hope I made the question clear...

No, you don't need a search engine, or a start page for that matter, to open a bookmark. Search engine is a website just like every other website but its use is to find and show you the websites you are looking for. However they can track you if you're logged into your Google account. When you're logged in it's like having a Google search opened in the browser, kinda.

Why? What @SineWave said is spot on.

Your visited links are colored differently because they've stored cookie data either on your computer or server side.

Just because it's based on Chromium engine doesn't mean it's sponsored by Google.
Last year Opera bought SurfEasy. A top VPN provider and in 2016 they integrated it as a free service inside Opera. So if you have DD Go as your default and log out of any tracking social crap (Hint: Facebook) your searches are almost invisible.

EDIT: if you really think it's not so important, just go here with your google account signed in to see for yourself.

Internet, as was, is finished. Now it's essentially a shopping mall with Total Surveillance built-in. All other space is being closed-off. It's game over.
